This Course equips participants with a comprehensive understanding of trafficking, smuggling, forced labour, and other forms of modern slavery in refugee contexts. It strengthens the capacity to identify victims of exploitation and ensure access to asylum and protection pathways, while clarifying the intersections between anti-trafficking frameworks, refugee law, international humanitarian law, and human rights law. Participants will also explore the importance of effective interagency cooperation, prevention and prosecution strategies, alongside protection-sensitive approaches that support durable solutions for survivors. Through interactive discussions and practical exercises, participants will exchange experiences, analyze operational and policy challenges, and strengthen strategies to protect the rights of refugees and victims in complex displacement settings.
